Our story

I was a curious, ambitious student taking college-level classes while still trying to balance homework, ideas, and everyday life. I tried paper planners, but the pages never moved as fast as my brain—and somehow, the important things always ended up buried under a pile of notes.

So I built RedStart: a place to turn the chaos into a clear plan, celebrate progress, and start fresh whenever you need to. Because being smart is powerful—but having a plan helps you go even further.

    Privacy & safety

    Clear information about your data

    This page describes the current RedStart prototype. It is a product summary, not a substitute for the final legal policies required before public launch.

    What RedStart saves

    • Your Google display name and email are used for sign-in.
    • Assignments, plans, progress, study contacts, onboarding choices, and tutor chats sync to your private Firebase workspace when signed in.
    • A device copy is stored locally so the planner remains responsive.

    How the AI works

    • Messages and selected assignment files are sent through RedStart’s protected server to OpenAI for the active request.
    • AI requests use storage disabled and a privacy-preserving safety identifier.
    • Student messages are checked by server-side safety moderation.

    What is not active

    • RedStart does not process payments yet.
    • Saved study contacts are not emailed.
    • Assignments and notes are not shared across accounts yet.

    Your choices

    • Download your workspace from Account settings.
    • Delete individual assignments, notes, study contacts, and tutor chats.
    • Delete your entire RedStart account after confirming with Google.
